Jednota umělců výtvarných od svého založení svoje aktivity nikdy nepřerušila. Šlo pouze o různé formy činnosti, které odpovídaly stávajícím podmínkám, vyplývajícím ze současných společenských možností.
Svoji původní náplň činnosti obnovila roku 1990. Do nového období vstupovala Jednota umělců výtvarných se snahou navázat na tradice minulosti, vyvarovat se omylů, sdružovat umělce různých generací, různého výtvarného zaměření, s cílem přispět k rozvoji a uznání našeho výtvarného umění nejen u nás, ale i v zahraničí.
Po 15 letech vedení spolku Josefem Achrerem je v roce 2018 zvolen předsedou /starostou/ Karel Prášek, jeho zástupcem Bohunka Waageová. Členové výboru: František Tomík, Josef Matoušek, Jiří Vaněk, Milan Křenek.
Cílem Jednoty je dát prostor všem směrům a všem generacím, nehledat to, co jednotlivé tvůrce rozděluje, ale naopak stavět na tom, co je spojuje. Neboť není důležité kdo kdy a co pro kterou vládnoucí garnituru udělal, jak byl nahoře oblíben, jaké měl zakázky, kolik za ně dostal, ale jen to, jak poctivě své dílo vytvořil.
Pravá úcta k tradici a zejména ke kulturní tradici vlastního národa probouzí potřebu v této tradici dále pokračovat a přidat něco nového k tomu, co považujeme za součást odkazu minulých generací.
The Union of Creative Artists has never interrupted its activities since its foundation in genuine words sense. There were only different forms of activities, which were adequate to existing situation resulting from current social possibilities.
However what we consider as a big contribution was the fact the main part of members of the Union of Creative Artist had possibility to meet and organise various actions, which were keeping their social and corporation life relatively on high standard comparing to other art associations.
At the end of sixtieth when conditions of social life became more free the members of the Union of Creative Artists tried officialy to get to life its activity.
They had a meeting due to K. Šmíd effort in the coffee house Kovárna on February 21, 1697, and agreed on renewal of some activities, especially exhibitions (officially however the Union of Creative Artists didn’t exist).
In 2018 Josef Achrer, after 15 years as chairman, passes the position to Karel Prášek. Bohunka Waageová is elected as vice-chairman, members of comitee are František Tomík, Josef Matoušek, Jiří Vaněk, Milan Křenek.
At the present the corporation life is fully recovered, the number of members and also the corporation activity increases. The members organise their appointments in their club-room in Voršilská street.
The present Union of Creative Artists includes app. 45 members.
The goal of the Union of Creative Artists is to give space to all art trends and all age categories of artists to not search what divides individual artists, but on the contrary to built on that what links them.
